How to Organize Your Medical Information
The quick, yet comprehensive guide to organization and empowerment for busy professionals
The first step to becoming empowered on your healthcare journey is becoming organized! Gathering papers, figuring out the order, and putting it all together can feel overwhelming and frustrating.
Picture this: you go to a new doctor's appointment and the intake nurse starts asking questions:
- What medications do you take?
- What's your past medical history?
- What other physicians do you see and what are their phone numbers?
- Have you had any recent labwork?
Your head is spinning with all the questions and you begin to frantically check your phone for help with answering. Maybe you check google for physician phone numbers. Maybe you text your spouse or family member to check your medication bottles at home. You know you've had labs, but how would you know the results?
Sound familiar?
This happens ALL.THE.TIME. And guess who loses? You do. Because without the necessary information, your new physician can't create a safe and effective plan for you. And without having this information readily available, you lose confidence in the healthcare system and in your ability to take a proactive role.
In this course, you will receive my proven system, with supporting documents, to tackle this step with comfort and ease! Oh and you might like the bonus section too :)
Your Instructor
After graduating in 2003 from the University of Florida with my Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, I completed an additional year of residency training, specializing in Ambulatory Care. I worked in various settings within pharmacy for over a decade and a half before life hit me hard and I felt compelled to make a change.
Losing my father to cancer led me to become the Founder and Chief Patient Advocate of Peace Advocacy Group. I knew at my core that I needed to do for others what I did for him. As a Private Patient Advocate, I now guide my clients to not only get the immediate answers they need for an existing medical problem, but also to begin focusing on wellness by incorporating mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy filling my own cup by traveling with my family, sharing stories of wellness on the Minding Wellness Podcast, and seeking opportunities to live more consciously and aware.
I also genuinely enjoy leading others, like you, on this amazing journey to help others!
